gscan2pdf software package provides A GUI to produce PDFs or DjVus from scanned documents, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gscan2pdf
gscan2pdf is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gscan2pdf package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gscan2pdf *
You will get with gscan2pdf package name, version, architecture and description in a table
